MEGA HOTS

Remember to wear DOUBLE gloves while touching or handling Mega hot peppers and to wash your hands with a product containing acidity such as lime or lemon juice (Yes…wash them even though you had gloves on.) Some of our peppers are extremely hot and if not properly handled will temporarily damage skin tissue. Not a joke!  Capsaicin (the oil in peppers) can scar your cornea, temporarily immobilize vocal chords, cause blisters on skin or in mouth and can, in some cases, induce vomiting when eaten.

007 Pot Primo-Trinidad 7 Pot X Naga Morich

The 7 Pot Primo can get very lumpy and distorted and even grow a skinny little tail. Like other 7 Pots it has a fruity/floral flavor and is extremely hot.  Troy Primeaux (Nickname Primo) a Horticulturist and member of the Southern Rock band called Santeria from Lousiana is responsible for this cross.  Tony's parent plant seed came directly from Bangladesh & Trinidad respectively.  Some people say that this pepper is literally hot enough to melt someone’s face off… well maybe not literally but it’s still pretty hot.  Scoville-800,000 - 1,268,250 Million

Bad Brains

The original seeds were taken right out of a 7-pot Brainstrain pod, but gave this strange and contorted phenotype so it is a naturally occurring cross with an unknown donor.  The initial aroma is quite complex. Fruity, sweet, floral and grassy, but it did not remind me of a Brainstrain at all.  Surprisingly, the initial flavors did not include any sweetness, but there was a good bit of acid, a very citrusy and floral flavor and a lot of Bhut-like flavor. The combination was excellent.  It is also a damn big pod to chew on!!!  Some heat is apparent right off, but not a huge amount, but as you chew the pepper juices just hammer  your throat and ripped your vocal chords apart for perhaps 45-60 seconds. Then the heat blasts through your mouth and your tongue will ignite, along with the roof of your mouth and tonsils!  Your lips will feel like they are swelling up.   Scoville 1,000.000+ Million

Bhut Jalokia-Ghost

Also known as Naga Jolokia, Naga Morich, Bih Jolokia, U-morok, Ghost Pepper, Ghost Chili Pepper, or Red Naga Chili, the Bhut Jolokia is cultivated in the Nagaland and Assam region of northeastern India and parts of neighboring Bangladesh.  The word Bhut, given from the Bhutias people, means “ghost” and was probably given the name because of the way the heat sneaks up on the one who eats it.  The Bhut Jolokia has been around for many centuries, but was only introduced to the western world in 2000. In 2007 The Ghost Pepper was certified as the hottest Chili Pepper on the planet in The Guinness Book of World Records.  This Chili might be considered the "Grandfather" of the Mega-Hot craze.  The first flavor you will notice is an intense sweet chili flavor, the heat does not kick in for 30 – 45 seconds. Once the heat kicks in, expect sweating, watery eyes, hiccups and shortness of breath. The burning generally intensifies over 10 – 15 minutes and subsides after 30 – 40 minutes.   Are we having fun yet???

Bhutlah-Bhut Jalokia X Trinidad Douglah

Grower Chad Soleski of Wisconsin is resposible for this cross and got a mean bumpy red pepper later named the Bhutlah.  It has a mean heat and resembles a spiky bumpy Naga type. The background flavor is similar to Red Ghost peppers.  This pepper is the predecessor to the very sought after Chocolate Bhutlah.  This super hot bears extremely hot pods that may rival the Carolina Reaper as the hottest pepper in the world.  Scoville-1,500.000-2,000,000  Million

Brazilian Chocolate Brainstrain

This is the chocolate variation of the insanely hot Brain Strain. The original Brain Strain was discovered by a gentleman named David, and has a sweet 7 Pot flavor. The Brain Strain packs a blistering amount of heat, and many claim it is even hotter than the Carolina Reaper. This pod is not for the slight of heart!  The heat attacks the whole of the mouth. Very intense.  It has a sweet kind of earthy flavor.  This is the Brazilian strain.  Scoville-2,000.000+ Million

The current NUMBER ONE HOTTEST PEPPER IN THE WORLD! Bred in a Rock Hill, South Carolina greenhouse by

"Smokin" Ed Currie, proprietor of the PuckerButt Pepper Company in Fort Mill, the Carolina Reaper has been certified as the world's hottest chili pepper by Guinness World Records since August 7, 2013.  The original crossbreed was between a Ghost pepper (a former world record holder) and a red habanero and is named 'Reaper' due to the shape of its tail.  the hottest individual pepper was measured at 2.2 million.  The  flavor of Smokin' Ed's Carolina Reaper® has been described as a roasted sweetness delivering an instant level of heat never before achieved continuing with an increasing tidal wave of scorching fire that grips you from head to toe. Fatali Gourmet Jigsaw Chocolate

Years ago, a man in Finland known as Mr Jukka Kilpinen began growing the now famous Moruga Scorpion from seed,

a long time before it was measured to be the hottest variety on earth, he started a breeding project which started with the original Moruga Scorpion variety. During that time it was totally unknown variety.  The idea of breeding the Moruga Scorpion into a hotter variety begun after tasting the original Moruga Scorpion.  He immediately figured out

it was the hottest variety that he had ever tasted!  Jukka thought it could be selectively bred to be even hotter, by crossing the Moruga with a variety that had a similar heat to Moruga Scorpion. The chili he crossed it with is

unknown at the present time.  After several years of selective breeding, and selecting only the very hottest and the best tasting pods over several generations, the Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw variety was born!   Chocolate Gourmet Jigsaw Fatalii is a naturally occurring variant.  This super rare cultivar has an outstanding flavor and a spice that gives even the hottest peppers a run for their money.    The fruits are excellent for use in extracts, hot sauces, and paprika.

Komodo Dragon-Chocolate Habanero X Ghost

The latest variation on the 7 pod, Naga, Jolokia, etc is the Komodo Dragon. Grown by the UK’s largest producer of chillies, Salvatore Genovese.  In 2012 he gave us the "Bedfordshire Super Naga".  Salvatore has a seven-acre farm in Blunham, Bedfordshire where he spends his time trying to create even hotter varieties. “It’s the really hot ones that gain the most interest and so each year I try and grow one hotter than the last” said Genovese.  Due to the growing desire for ever spicier foods, the Komodo Dragon chilies were recently added in many Tesco stores in the UK and Europe.  At first you can taste a wonderful hot fruitiness but then after about 10 seconds the full might of this chili hits you and your whole mouth is on fire.  Scoville-1400000+ Million

Monster Naga

This large plant produces numerous amount of extremely hot, rough and wrinkly skinned huge pods. The pods have typical Naga taste and heat level.  They are more productive than the classic Naga or the Dorset Naga. They were developed from the seeds collected from the biggest Naga pods and creating a strain that produces huge Naga pods. 1.200.000 million- 1.500.000 Million

Naga Big Bang Chocolate -Bangladesh

This is a beautiful chocolate red version of the well-known Naga Morich.

Even among growers and breeders this is a real rarity! The flavor of this chili is wonderful, but its heat level is extremely high. It is suitable for chili lovers who want to experience the ultimate in heat! It is currently considered among the hottest in the world, the heat is of a higher level to that of the Bih Jolokia, Assam Bhut Jolokia and Bhut Jolokia. Big Bang plants are very productive. It should be noted, however, that the strain is derived from a natural variant of Naga Morich and is still not fully stable.  Scoville 1,000,000

Naga Brains Genghis Khan-Trinidad Scorpion X Unknown Trinidad & Tobago Chili

RARE-RARE-RARE!!!  Not offered anywhere else.  This hybrid super hot is an F6 cross created by Italian growers of the AIASP-Associazione Italiana Amatori e Studiosi del Peperoncino (Association of Italian Amateurs and Scholars of Chili)

with a LIMITED release to raise funds for their association.  Before 2015 seeds were not available to the public. The Genghis Khans Brain has nice fruity tones and rivals the heat of any other so called super-hot pepper. It ripens from green to red. There are no official tests but many say that it blows away the Carolina Reaper!  Blistering hot with a very unique numbing mouth burn!  Scoville-1,500.00-2,000.000+++ Million

Naga White-Naga Jalokia Variant

This pepper is a real beauty. The flavor, and heat is outstanding. Unlike most white claimed Bhut Jolokias, this variety actually does turn white when ripe making this a very interesting plant indeed. This pods start out a light green/creamy then turn to a creamy off white when mature. The heat is well up there with the rest of the Bhut Jolokias and is extremely hot.  Scoville-800,000-1,000,000  Million

Pimenta Leopard-Bhut Jalokia X Pimenta de Neyde

Scorpanero-Trinidad Moruga Scorpion X Habanero

The size, color and shape of this one are pretty spectacular, IMHO. Obviously a cross between a Habanero and a Trinidad Scorpion, the initial aroma is very much Scorpion-like. Probably frutier than a regular Trinidad Scorpion, but strongly similar, nonetheless. The flavor is great. Fairly sweet, juicy and very fruity, with a dilute Scorpion flavor that fits together really nicely. The heat, however, is all Scorpion. This is a pretty hot pod., definitely it is around Trinidad Red Scorpion levels. The heat was initially on the tongue and the sides of my tongue, but it also migrated to the back of my throat. It came on like a train and fried my tongue. Nice!!!  All in all, a really cool variety with great flavor and very decent heat.

Tabanaga-Tabasco X Dorsett Naga

From Neil & Char at The Hippy Seed Company, New South Wales, Australia.  I have many a seed from these fine folks!

What is really different about the Tabanaga is the pods; they are thick walled, but soft and squishy like the Tabasco, which is really rare. The pods are about 5 cm long and 2 cm wide, start off green and end up a fiery red. They are sweet with a bit of Naga flavor.  Char says "INSANELY HOT"!   Guessing...Scoville-800,000-1,000.000 Million

Trinidad Scorpion Kraken-Bhut Jolokia Assam X  Chocolate Trinidad Scorpion

In 2011 Mike Hess was going about his business growing chilies. Little did he know when planting a Bhut Jolokia Assam a couple feet apart from a Trinidad Scorpion Chocolate did he ever think he would be creating one bad ass mean hybrid that has been known to grow to the size of a small-medium size bell pepper to about baseball size and larger. After collecting the seeds from the Bhut Assam and growing them out, the strain changed colors going from red to chocolate, most having odd shaped tails like a drunken scorpion pepper.  A pepper later to be named the Kraken Scorpion due to its striking resemblance to the mythical creature off the coast of Greenland/Norway.  The peppers are elongated but also fatter than any Ghost or Naga pepper. They sometimes grow a little signature tail at the pointed end of the pepper. The Kraken Scorpion peppers themselves have a very rough pimply outer skin. The heat is extreme. The peppers can get big enough to almost fill the palm of an average hand! The ripen from green to brown and sometimes dark brown. The flavor is floral and earthy. Some would say smoky. A great addition to making a hot sauce or a very hot seasoning powder.  Scoville-1,500.000-2,000.00 Million

Trinidad Scorpion Pink-Naturally Occurring Variant

A rare strain of the Trinidad Scorpion that has a sweeter, slightly less spicy flavor.  These thick fleshed chilies are phenomenal when used to make super-hot salsas or when making hot pickles.  Scoville-1,000.000+  Million

Trinidad Sunrise Scorpion

The Trinidad Sunrise Scorpion comes from Trinidad. Called Sunrise because it grows with the chile pod pointing up instead of down! Another chile grower hobbyist from Trinidad named Sarah is responsible for getting these seeds to other hobbyists. This Scorpion is delicious.  This chile plant is the most productive producer of all the Scorpion family.
